1980s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles To Meet Current TMNT Cast

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

There have been a number of incarnations to the much-loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the 1980s. The cast from the original television series even made a guest appearance on the 2003 animated incarnation, but this was not very well received. In fact, it was pretty terrible because they portrayed the 1980s Turtles as a bunch of idiots, something that they clearly weren’t on their series.

The new Nickelodeon series has been getting a lot of love from both new and old fans since it has been on the air, and we even interviewed some of the cast and creators of the show at New York Comic Con in 2015. They good news is that the team behind the new Turtles has a lot of love for the original series as well.

The episode in question, “Trans-Dimensional Turtles” airs Sunday, March 27th and features the original voice cast from the 1980s series including: Cam Clarke, Barry Gordon, Townsend Coleman, Pat Fraley and Rob Paulsen.

The episode centers around the modern-day Turtles as they are transported to another dimension where they end up running into their old, parallel selves. The two groups will team up to take down the original Krang and the current Kraang Sub-Prime mortgagee . There is even word that the original Kevin Eastman Mirage Studios Turtles making a cameo.
