20,000 Gamestop Fallout 76 Power Armor Helmets Recalled Due To Mold

Gamestop: power to the fungus

Gamestop seems to be in a bit of hot water as some 20,000 of the Fallout 76 Power Armor helmets are being recalled over concerns they may be a breeding ground for various forms of mold. I suppose I understand the concern but most Gamestop’s smell of sweat and mold and they aren’t closing any of those down.

Oh… Well, I’m sure it wasn’t because of mold

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued the recall on the T-51B helmet sold only through GameStop stores. They note that the fabric inserts within the helmet are a breeding ground for all sorts of bacteria.

The agency notes that “Mold can be present on the fabric insert inside the helmet, posing a risk of respiratory or other infections in individuals with compromised immune systems, damaged lungs or an allergy to mold.”

If you’ve purchased a helmet you can request a full refund from Gamestop. This might have nothing to do with Bethesda itself, but Fallout 76 sure keeps taking a beating over just about everything. Poor guy just can’t catch a break.
