Alien Online Game Teased For Announcement At Game Awards

Get away from them, you bitch!

Cold Iron’s Alien: Blackout has recently been rumored to be announced proper at The Mountain Dew and Doritos Game Awards. And supporting this rumor are Game Awards creator and producer Geoff Keighlys twitter, and a trademark for Alien: Blackout  filed by 20th Century Fox.

Cold Iron Studios was bought by Foxnet (a 20th Century Fox subsidiary) in January. It was quickly announced that the studio was working on a shooter based on the Alien franchise.

We’re all excited to be working on such a storied franchise. To explore areas of the universe that fans haven’t gotten to experience, to put a game in that setting, is incredible.

– Cold Iron Studios co-head Craig Zinkievich

As for the Keighly angle, Eurogamer points to his account’s banner, as well as a tweet from Keighly himself. The banner and video feature the phrase “Worlds Will Change” in a typeface that is similar to the one used by the Weyland-Yutani corporation in the Alien series.

So, if you  want to hear about Alien: Blackout, keep your eyes on The Game Awards this December 6th and 7th. Perhaps worlds will change.
