Amazon Is Going To Great Lengths To Protect Lord of the Rings Series Details

Amazon

Batter and beat! Yammer and bleat!
Work, work! Nor dare to shirk,
While Goblins quaff, and Goblins laugh,
Round and round far underground

Not much seems to really be known about Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series. And most of what is could fill a clickbait article. And that seems to be pretty much by design.

And in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke pretty much confirmed that. After mentioning a recent meeting with the Tolkien estate to show off some art, she added that the writers room is secure. Very secure.

There’s a fantastic writers room working under lock and key. They’re already generating really exciting material. They’re down in Santa Monica. You have to go through such clearance, and they have all their windows taped closed. And there’s a security guard that sits outside, and you have to have a fingerprint to get in there, because their whole board is up on a thing of the whole season.

Like, jeebus; imagine working on something like that. May as well have broken out the old wage cages or something. I kid, but hey, it’ll be done when it’s done. Until then, Amazon’ll probably keep playing things close to the vest.
