AMC Has Started To Accept Cryptocurrency As A Payment Option For Tickets

I wonder how many tickets a shitty lion NFT will buy?

August saw the theater chain announce their plans, but now it’s happening: AMC Theaters will now accept Professor Land Funbucks cryptocurrency as payment for tickets.

AMC CEO Adam Aron announced on Twitter that customers now have the option to trade a variety of coins for a ticket:

That’s right, you can pay a wildly fluctuating amount of money for your theater tickets, now. Yay! They’re now actually riding high off of the stock shenanigans from last year, thanks to the short not being shorted, or whatever. I don’t know, I’m not a stonks guy.

And that’s not all: they’re exploring other avenues as well. In an earnings call, Aron floated the idea that they’d create their own cryptocurrency. That same call also signaled that they may be looking into adding Shiba Inu Coin to the accepted crypto mix.
