American Crime Story casts its O.J. Simpson

A while back, we told you about American Crime Story, which will be a “companion series” to American Horror Story, in which Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will dramatize famous crimes, starting with the O.J. Simpsons murders. Now the Heisman winner turned glove connoisseur has been cast, and it’s Cuba Gooding, Jr., who won an Oscar for Jerry Maguire, then went on to do approximately a million billion shitty movies.

AHS mainstay Sarah Paulson has also been cast, as prosecutor Marcia Clark, according to The AV Club. I’m intrigued by this series, but it’s already an uphill battle, because there is no one on the planet who still takes Gooding seriously.
