I guess BUDDY 5 is alive?

Look, I’m not exactly a Robomatologist; I only pretended to be one on the internet for chuckles. But, in the back of my mind, I remembered BUDDY, because he’s been around.

In fact, out of all the IndieGoGo robots, he’s probably the only one still showing up at trade shows.

Is he really all that and a bag of chips? I have no clue. Pretty sure the original pitch video (above) version wasn’t even real, thought that suspicion is due to the BUDDY-POV camera work and the ear-searing dubbing.

Unlike the others that came in a day late and a dollar short (Alpha 2, Aido, etc.) you can still find pictures of him at trade shows, where he’s present and active. I sure can’t tell you when he’s going to be released. Best I can do is tell you that I think he’s for real based on those appearances.
