We have known for a while that Destiny 2 was in the works thanks to the little leaks and hints coming from the studio. But now with have an official announcement from the folks at Bungie via a logo for the game via Twitter.

We don’t know much else as the logo was the only thing revealed regarding the project, but Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg stated earlier this year that “development is going great, and it is indeed on track for release this fall.”

The one thing that we do know is that the progress you made during the first game will not be carrying over into this next iteration. The studio says they want to preserve the players’ relationship with their characters, and not with their gear.
