Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Mode Free For A Week

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Are you sick of Battle Royale yet?

Well, it’s the New Year. And that post-Christmas-high has started to wear off for everyone, including companies. And so, Activision has a little present for you. For one week starting January 17, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4‘s Blackout mode (their battle royale mode) will be free to play.

It’s not exactly hard to see why Activision is doing this. Aside from the holiday sugar rush being over, there’s one other possible reason. The nice little hole Bungie left by breaking up their partnership with Activision. Things haven’t been great for the publisher in the wake of that, as they lost a revenue stream due to it.

Either way, a week’s a good time for a free trial for a single game mode. You’ll definitely have the chance to find out if it’s your cup of tea.
