Cars 3 is getting the video game tie-in treatment with ‘Driven to Win’

The Cars series continues to exist so that the “B” team at Pixar has something to do, and so Disney can keep pumping out toys. I know this because in an age where most movie studios are skipping making console releases (mobile is so much cheaper) Disney is one of the only studios pumping out licensed games. Well, they have other people doing it now that they closed their gaming division, but you get the idea. That said the few Cars branded racing games that I got to play on the Wii were are pretty much and harmless.

Cars 3: Driven to Win, is a competitive racing game that features characters from the upcoming Disney/Pixar Cars 3 film in an entirely new experience that looks a lot like the old experiences. Cars 3: Driven to Win is being developed by Avalanche Software, newly re-opened under Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and will be available exclusive  for the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo  –please don’t only be 3rd part shovel-ware– Switch on July 14th 2017.
