The official Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launch trailer is here and it will give fans of this venerable series some serious feels. The trailer looks back on the Solid series going back to the original PlayStation release back in 1998 with a lovely Phantom Pain intro sequence.

While the series may indeed go on at Konami, this installment is a closing of the Hideo Kojima arc that the series has been known for since the games first outing on the MSX computer system in Japan. Take a look at the video below and join fans worldwide on September 1st as we wish goodbye to this Kojima Productions game.
