THE CITY OF TOWNSVILLE IS ON FIRE!
Chloe Bennet, previously attached to play Blossom in The CW’s live-action Powerpuff Girls series tentatively titled “Powerpuff”, has escaped the CW teen drama mines departed from the production.
The news comes from Variety, which notes that Dove Cameron and Yana Perrault are still present on the project. The supporting cast, including Donald Faison as Prof. Utonium, are seemingly all still signed to the show.
The show has had difficulties. The previously produced pilot featuring Bennet apparently didn’t meet the standards the network was aiming for. They planned to reshoot the pilot for another run at full production; however, there’s no telling what wrench Bennet’s departure threw into the works.
