Cross Miami Vice and Drifting to get ‘Drift Stage’

Drift Stage

The ’80s are soon in. Well, at least in the world of entertainment, which is what’s really important anyways. A plethora of games permeate the Steam marketplace with such standouts as Hotline Miami, Retro City Rampage, and Saturday Morning RPG. Even movies aren’t free from the touch of that magical decade with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and even to a lesser extent all the superhero movies of late.

Drift Stage is the kind of game that seeks to capitalize on this tend by throwing you into the surreal of colorful world of ’80s envisioned drift racing. With very simple 3D models and heavily pixellated features, Drift Stage is the kind of madness that emerges when you take Out Run and Miami Vice and throw them into a blender and garnish is a little dash of insanity.

Drift Stage looks radically out of this world from what we can see in the short teaser demo and the team has even stated that the game will offer 4-player split-screen action for the only multiplayer that matters; Local multiplayer! You can check out the trailer for Drift Stage below.

Just be warned that you may need a towel to wipe off the sweat from that killer title track!
