Dauntless blasts past 6 million player mark in under a week

Phoenix Labs announced that Dauntless, the recently released free-to-play co-op action RPG, surpassed 6 million players within its first week – doubling its player count since the PC Open Beta.

Dauntless hit several milestones in its first week. Players worldwide logged over 20 million hunts, surpassing 15 million hours played while 60% of hunting parties consisted of cross-platform players. Together Slayers defeated over 13 million Behemoths.

Bruna and Max, Ramsgate’s loyal dog friends, were pet an incalculable number of times.

Dauntless launched May 21 on PS4, Xbox One and the Epic Games store with true cross-play and cross-progression support. “One Dauntless,” the cross-play and cross-progression vision Phoenix Labs set forth to achieve at launch, is a first for the games industry.
