Dogecoin is basically what happens when someone decides to make a cryptocurrency on a dare. But that hasn’t exactly stopped it from reaching a value of $1.1 billion, with each individual coin trading for just over 1 cent U.S.
That’s it. That’s the whole story. A meme alt-coin is worth X amount. I did, in two sentences, what it took a CNBC writer eighteen to accomplish, with no actual illumination on their part.
It took me the better part of an hour to do it, too, because I had to keep moderating myself. That is the actual value of this news. And I’ll leave it at that.
