Earthfall Heads To The Nintendo Switch In The Exclusive Earthfall: Alien Horde

Earthfall was was video game. Okay, it was a team-based horde shooter that replaced the zombies of Left for Dead with aliens from outer-space. It was pretty fun if a little bit generic when it launched on the Xbox One and the rest of the big consoles. Now the game is heading to the Nintendo Switch.

Earthfall: Alien Horde is the all-new local 4-player co-op exclusive to the Nintendo Switch today is available for pre-orders on the Nintendo eShop in both North America and EU for $19.99. The alien invasion is set to launch on October 29, 2019.

While the game felt a big generic on consoles because it did what others had done better, I think it might have some legs on the Nintendo Switch. The co-op horde shooter really isn’t a genre on the console and it should please Nintendo fans who are craving for more online specific games.

Key Features:

  • A Horde of Content – 15 unique locations, including 11 campaign chapters, 5 invasion maps, and tons of unlockable items!
  • Hardcore Co-op – Drop in, drop out and engage in classic four-player co-operative gunplay inspired by the greatest co-op shooters of our time. Now with local co-op, in addition to online play.
  • Death from Above – Fight the horde, a procedurally generated alien menace that makes every gameplay session tense, exciting, fresh, and utterly lethal.
  • Well-armed Allies – Become one of four story-driven characters and battle through an alien-infested plot while utilizing advanced weaponry and printable guns.
  • Constructible Defenses – Strategically place barricades that electrify or set the alien scourge afire. Deploy automatic sentries to create the perfect alien killing zones or set up mounted turrets to achieve firepower superiority.

I don’t know how the game will end up but $20 isn’t a lot for a squad-based shooter. This is one that we skipped over on the other consoles but it has our attention for the Switch.
