The tweet to end all tweets happened tonight at the Oscars

Ellen has set an all time record for amount of times a tweet has been retweeted by the world. The traffic was so intense in such a short period that it brought down her account and broke Twitter for a short time. The previous record was held by President Obama right after he was elected to his first term.
