Are they saying boo or Boo-urns?
The Valorant Champions 2023 tournament was held recently. And on its final day, who should make an appearance but billionaire and Twitter X bogeyman Elon Musk.
The, uh, crowd didn’t like him all that much.
An embed of that video in case it, y’know, gets Xeeted.
Despite the commentators best attempts to bring attention back to the match, the crowd switches from their booing of Musk, to a chant of “Bring back Twitter”.
Now, I can’t say that, if I had the kind of money that allowed me to spend $40+ billion on something, that I’d have bought Twitter. And If I had, then I probably wouldn’t have discarded the only thing that worked for the sites favor: its massively effective branding. If I had to work the “X” in, though, I would’ve probably pulled from Musk’s other property, SpaceX, and pulled a Mega Man/Mega Man X sort of deal and called it Twitter X. At the very least, the URL would reflect the site’s actual name.
Then again, I’m not a billionaire.
