Fallout: New Vegas Mod Project Brazil Gets a Rename

Fallout: New Vegas New California mod

New California depicts the results of California’s next controversial political decision. Yes, that’s a joke.

The Fallout: New Vegas mod Project Brazil has been in development since 2009. It’s ambitious, boasting a map the size of Fallout 3’s, with over 5000 lines of professional quality dialog by over 20 actors. And, while it’s still not out yet, it does have a new name: New California. as explained on the mod’s ModDB page:

New California is a superior name for this mod.

It’s opening shot is of California, the intro is all about California, we say California several times in the narration, it’s set in California, within New California Republic territory, about the struggles of New California against California factions that impact the New California Republic in New Vegas.

Originally started in Fallout 3, the mod switched over to Fallout: New Vegas shortly after the latter’s release. The mod was still a massive undertaking, though. And while it’s not out yet, it’s supposed to release sometime late this year.
