Final Fantasy XIII’s Lightning and Snow Try to Sell you a Car

Not making this up, I swear.

So, who likes it when video games try to sell you a car? Microsoft tried it. And now, in China, Final Fantasy XIII’s Lightning and Snow are trying to sell you a car.

Look, I didn’t play Final Fantasy XIII since it looked stupid and bad and there was only one obviously good character in it. But I’m pretty sure there weren’t any prominent cars in it. Unlike, oh, I don’t know, FINAL FANTASY XV?!, Hell, this isn’t even the first ad doing exactly the same thing with a Final Fantasy XIII character!

Nor is it the first time they’ve used Lightning to sell stuff in a poorly veiled advertisement. So, If you’re Chinese and you really want to fantasize about being a dumbass Final Fantasy XIII character while you’re driving, Nissan’s your choice.
