Star Trek: Discovery has had a few ups and downs since it was announced some time back. Trek fans are excited for a new television series (where Trek really happens) and Discovery had all the makings of something great. Then shit went south –fast.

But now CBS finally gives us our first true look at Star Trek: Discovery with the first behind the scenes look at the show. It’s not a along video but get our first look at the uniforms, the captain’s chair and what looks to be a Federation ship along the lines of the NX class, only heavily modified.

No word if the ship schematics in the video are of the Discovery itself as it would be a huge departure from the one we got in the first teaser we saw some months back. We do know that the show will feature more than one ship, so it could anything, but I’m hoping it’s a refit NX-Enterprise.
