Have we hit the tipping point with the superhero genre? I’m not saying that I’m not excited for all these things/shows, but when there are so many DC properties on so many different networks that they begin competing with each others time-slots, I think we are walking very close to that edge.
The extended trailer for the CBS Supergirl shows a lot of what we can expect from this new DC show that will be going up against Gotham over on FOX in the same time-slot. It looks like a much lighter take on the more dark and gritty worlds that DC has stuck too, and for that I am happy.
Still, I’m not quite sold on the tone of the show from what I saw in the trailer, but I’ll be giving it a shot when the show airs. Check out the extended trailer below, and let us know what you think of Supergirl.
