Fortnite Returns To iOS Through Nvidia’s GeForce Now

Fortnite

Criminy, it’s like theater hopping.

According to the BBC, plans are in place to allow users of GeForce Now to play Fortnite through their Safari browser on iOS. According to that report, Nvidiahas developed a version of GeForce now that will run on the iOS and iPadOS versions of Safari, with Epic’s game as something of a driving force.

This is especially notable as the ongoing legal battle between Apple and Epic Games still leaves Apple device users out in the cold when it comes to Fortnite. Going through GeForce Now circumvents the issue, allowing those using the service on their various Apple rectangles to play the game.

Other streaming services, such as Microsoft xCloud, Amazon Luna, and (the remarkably somehow still alive) Google Stadia also have plans for iOS rollouts. That said, none of them will feature Fortnite, which is a boon for GeForce now.

Granted, Nvidia hasn’t made this all official just yer, but they’re expected to sometime before the holidays.
