Fortnite’s Joy Ride Update Adds Wheeled Vehicles To The Game

Pedal to the metal.

Tuesday saw Fortnite dev Epic teasing the major content of the game’s upcoming update. The Joy Ride update’s biggest addition?

Cars.

It’s not just a name. It’s a warning.

Granted, this isn’t a secret. People have known upfront that vehicles were in the cards since the beginning of Season 3. But it’s nice that there’s some variety to the implementation.

Granted, they’re not the only addition to the game this patch. The water prevalent in the map has receded a little more, and exposed a new area: Coral Castle. And that’s probably not all Season 3 has left for players, either.

Regardless, the Joy Ride update goes live in Fortnite tomorrow, August 5th.
