Full Detective Pikachu Movie Leaked On YouTube By Ryan Reynolds

Detective Pikachu

Not green, but animated.

Detective Pikachu finally releases this week, and it’s shaping up to likely be the best video game movie ever made.

And while Warner Bros and Ryan Reynolds are, for the most part, finished with the movie, that doesn’t mean that Reynolds is done with it. Because he uploaded the entire movie to a suspiciously named Inspector Pikachu channel.

…except it’s not really the full movie. It’s actually just the first minute or so of the film, followed by an hour and forty minutes of Pikachu dancing to some bitchin’ 80’s synth. With a “R. Reynolds” watermark in the corner. Which probably isn’t much of a surprise if you’ve been following his YouTube channel.

Basically, Ryan Reynolds is a one-man viral marketing army. Other than that one movie that we don’t talk about, he’ll happily make anything he’s in one of the biggest things during its time in theaters. With a lot of humor, and just a little bit of audience trolling. It’s why we love him.

Now if you’ll excuse me, Pikachu’s dancing and that righteous VHS a e s t h e t i c calls to me…
