Google And Amazon Return Their Video Services To Each Other’s Platforms

Aww, they’re making up.

Google and Amazon had a fairly long-running feud going in regards to their streaming platforms. This previously caused them to both pull their video services from each other’s devices, as well as refuse to sell the other’s devices on their storefronts. They relented on the latter point a little while ago. And now, they’ve finally loosened up on the former, too.

Starting today, the YouTube app is available on Amazon Fire TV devices (with full Alexa integration, no less). Conversely, Amazon Prime Video is now available on Chromecast, and will be heading to other Android TV devices shortly.

Notably, neither YouTube TV or YouTube Kids are available on the Fire TV devices, yet. But the companies say they’re coming sometime later this year.

It’s probably just nice for everyone to not be caught up in that little tiff anymore.
