Halo Wars 2 to be playable at E3

Halo Wars 2 was quite the surprise announcement last year. The game has been pretty quiet ever since then, to the point that I actually forgot it even existed. Looks like Microsoft figured this as Halo Wars 2 will be playable at this years E3 convention in June.

At the show next month attendees will be able to get some hand-on time with the game. The original Halo Wars was the first real departure from the FPS styling opting instead for a real-time strategy game on a console. RTS games are a rarity today, even on the PC where they used to reign, so seeing one be exclusive to the Xbox 360 was pretty shocking.

We shall see just what the game looks and plays like, and how it has evolved from the original when we hit the E3 floor next month. In the meantime you can check out the teaser trailer for Halo War 2 that was released last year below:
