Harmonix Set To Bring Back Amplitude

The people at Harmonix have a Kickstarter going to bring back one of my all time favorite games, Amplitude on modern consoles.

Amplitude and its prequel FreQuency, have become a cult classics and were very well received by both critics and consumers alike when they debuted on the Playstastion 2.

Both games are very important, because without their success Harmonix would not have gone on to create the RockBand series. The things learned from both games rhythm based gameplay led to the proliferation of  music based games.

What made Amplitude and FreQuency special, beyond being able to build and mix tracks in a similar way you do in RockBand, was the games incredible simple controls.

No large and gaudy peripherals needed here, just grab a controller and enjoy some incredible music and gameplay.

A well loved series

Many of the people on the original development team on Amplitude are still working with Harmonix, so you can expect the game to be in fantastic hands.

If you want to be a part of making the game happen, head over to their Kickstarter and donate -We did.
