Another hour, another announcement coming from Comic Con that I wasn’t there to see. The Hollywood Reporter tells us that a whole lot of Game of Thrones casting was just revealed, including the Sand Snakes, Oberyn Martell’s awesomely hot-blooded bastard daughters. Let’s take a look:
First up is Keisha Castle-Hughes, an Oscar nominee for Whale Rider, as Obara Sand, who “considers herself a warrior” and “wield[s] a spear and a whip.”
We also have Jessica Henwick (from a bunch of British shows like Silk and North by Northamptonshire) as Nymeria Sand, who is “elegant, refined, and beautiful.”
And Rosabell Laurenti Sellers (Italian films like Loon Lake and Out of the Blue) as Tyene Sand, who “is known to have skills in herbcraft and poison.”

Some other major announcements are the casting of Jonathan Pryce (Pirates of the Caribbean) as the High Sparrow, Alexander Siddig (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) as Doran Martell, and DeObia Oparei as Aero Hotah. Check out the video below to see the new cast members introducing themselves.
