Mystery Science Theater 3000 was a staple of my youth. While kids were talking about what was happening on MTV and that TRL show, I was reciting lines from Space Mutiny. As you might imagine, I was not a very cool kid.
But my collection of dorks would often have sleepovers simply to play WCW/NWO Revenge on the N64 late into the night until MST3k would air. Arguments would fly about who was the best test subject and before there was team Jacob and Edward, there was team Joel and Mike.
This new series that was funded on Kickstarter looks to keep much of the low-budget feel that made the original special. We don’t get much in this quick trailer, but it’s enough to get fans excited about the show.
