This has been teased for a while, but apparently now it’s official: American Horror Story‘s fourth season will take place at a carnival. It was confirmed by writer Douglas Petrie, who was basically tricked into admitting it while he was a guest on the Nerdist podcast.

I like American Horror Story. I admire Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk for ramping the insanity up episode by episode, and never letting up. Season three had minotaur sex! I think a carnival is a great setting for AHS, as if carnies needed to be scarier than they already are.
