The world of Warcraft (see what we did there) is a massive beast that has spanned lost of games and an on-going MMO. But with such a long life comes the dreaded retcon in story. Blizzard seems to love to change so much with every expansion to World of Warcraft that anything prior to Warcraft III is up in the air canon-wise.
