He is Batman, you know.

That Batman prequel Pennyworth has cast its lead. Jack Bannon (The Imitation Game) will play the role of a young Alfred Pennyworth for the series. But that’s not all; they’ve also cast Thomas Wayne.

Ben Aldridge will play Thomas Wayne opposite Bannon’s Alfred. The series, set in 60’s London, revolves around when the pair first meets. Alfred is fresh out of the SAS when he meets Wayne, and struggles to reconcile his past self with the man the SAS helped him become.

The show will run on Epix; the network has committed to a 10 episode run. Pennyworth begins production on October 22.
