Jenna Coleman leaves Doctor Who

Jenna Coleman

Jenna Coleman has seen her final flight aboard the TARDIS. The actress who has been a companion to two different Doctor’s (Matt Smith & Peter Capaldi) is taking her leave to star in a major role as Queen Victoria herself in an upcoming ITV drama.

Word is that the actress has already filmed her final scenes for the show, and will be gone before the Christmas special hits the air this December. She told the Radio Times that,

“You’re in Doctor Who knowing it will never last. It’s constantly regenerating, so you want to make your time count and enjoy the adventure for the fleeting time you’re here.”

The ninth series of the Doctor Who starts on 19 September on BBC 1
