Halo Online may have just been a cancelled game made solely for Russia and based on Halo 3. But that doesn’t mean it was forgotten. And, while the legality might be a little gray, it lives again as a fan project.

Presenting Eldewrito v0.6, a community made mod for the cancelled Halo Online. Granted, things are mostly vanilla right now. But the game is fully playable, boasting thousands of players already. things are still a bit rough around the edges, though, as you might expect from version 0.6 of anything. But the core is there, and the community has plans.

Also, since Microsoft isn’t Nintendo or Square Enix, they’re probably not going to zap it from the internet. While you can grab the installer from the link in the above paragraph, there are other options. If you want to help the game along, you can grab the source code at Github. Any way you want to do it, you can get that Halo experience.
