Lexar To Sell First 1TB SDXC Card

Lexar

Tiny, teensy little card.

Lexar is poised to release the first 1TB SDXC card on the public market. Dubbed the Professional 633x, it’s sure to be the absolute top storage solution for photographers and the like. While is is a UHS-I rather than a faster UHS-II, it runs at the highest possible speed for a UHS-I (95 MB/s, Class 10). Which should be more than enough for 4K video and rapidfire photos.

Almost fifteen years ago, Lexar announced a 1GB SD card. Today, we are excited to announce 1TB of storage capacity in the same convenient form factor.

– Joey Lopez, Senior Manager, Social Media Marketing, Lexar

SanDisk was actually the first company to introduce a 1TB SDXC card back at Photokina in 2016. But they never commercialized their card, leaving the opportunity open to Lexar.
