This Little Blue Goat Just Raised $1.9 Million For Ebola Relief

WoW Ebola

While the mainstream news outlets were busy arguing about what to do and who was to blame for the Ebola outbreak last year, gamers were out making a difference. While the Ebola news craze may have fallen by the wayside in favor of more serious matters like Brain Williams, Deflategate, and who wore it best at (insert self-aggrandizing awards show here) World of Warcraft players didn’t forget.

Blizzard has just announced that Argi, the cute little blue goat pet, has helped rake in a whopping $1.9 million that will be used for the Ebola relief efforts still going on in Africa.

The team at Blizzard made the pet available to players for a $10 adoption fee, the money of which would go toward the relief effort. The money raised will go to The Red Cross and be used to help make a real difference. Say what you will about the state of console gaming (we stay out of that bag of worms), but the PC community knows how to come together when people are in need.
