Mark Hamill Reprises 90’s Flash Villain ‘The Trickster’ On THE FLASH

Mark Hamill Trickster

The CW has gone a long way to tie together elements of the original Flash series from the early 90’s with its new hit incarnation. John Wesley Shipp, the original television Flash plays Barry Allen’s  (Grant Gustin) father helping to guide the young hero. Now it seems another member of the 90’s Flash series is coming back, but this time as his original television character.

Hitfix is reporting that legendary sci-fi actor and Jedi, Mark Hamill is returning to once again give a new Flash a lot of problems. He will be reprising his role as The Trickster, a role that is one of the most remembered episodes of the original Flash series. Word is that Hamill will appear in the 17th episode of The Flash, which is set to air sometime in 2015.

While Hamill is reprising the role it should be noted that this will be a new interpretation of the character that will assist Barry in nabbing the new version of his character, sort of like Hannibal Lector does in The Silence of The Lambs. Cool!

Here is the official release info:

Mark Hamill returns in a brand new interpretation of James Jesse (aka The Trickster), a role he originated on the 90’s ‘Flash’ series. In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps. The episode will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp who went up against him as the original ‘Flash’ on the CBS version.
