Middle-earth: Shadow of War – Desolation of Mordor expansion gets trailer

The opening cinematic from the upcoming Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion is here. This all-new DLC for Middle-earth: Shadow of War launches on the 18th May for those still interested in the game after the madness of the whole lootbox fiasco.

The new video spotlights Baranor, the Captain of Minas Ithil, who has escaped the fallen city’s demise and is now reunited with his lost brother, Serka. Together, the two warriors must hire an army of human mercenaries to combat a new Orc threat to the East, endure the harsh desert region of Lithlad and ultimately conquer the imposing Marauder fortress of Shindrâm.

Seeing the trailer above, we are sure many out there are going to be conflicted. On the one hand Middle-earth: Shadow of War was a really good overall experience int he gameplay department, but on the other hand the microtransactions really tore the community apart.

I’m really interested in seeing the sales numbers for this DLC expansion once it releases to see how long gamers remember. To be fair, the hate gamers have for something seems to dissipate pretty quickly, letting publishers off the hook to go back to their shady practices.
