Monty Python’s ‘The Ministry of Silly Walks’ game comes to iOS & Android

Independent games developer Boondoggle Studios has officially launched a new iOS and Android game based on The Ministry of Silly Walks. For those of you who may not be familiar with it, The Ministry of Silly Walks was a short, 5 minute sketch done by Monty Python.

The sketch saw John Cleese (who provides the voice for this game) play a government official who walk in strange and silly ways. We come to learn that the reason for his outlandish walking is due to the fact that he is in fact a high-ranking official at The Ministry of Silly Walks, a sub-section of the british parliament that is charged with creating new silly walks.

It’s a silly sketch that makes for a silly game. Boondoggle have styled The Ministry of Silly Walks as an endless runner with John Cleese reprising his role to voice the character some 44 years later. You can check out the trailer for the game below.

For those of you reading who are under the age of 30 and haven’t ever had the pleasure of experience Monty Python, we suggest you rectify that immediately. In the meantime you can watch the original sketch for The Ministry of Silly Walks below.
