Right after it was announced that NBC made the wise decision to give Neil Patrick Harris his own variety show, we get confirmation of a rumor we heard way back in July: NPH is heading to American Horror Story: Freakshow, and he’s bringing his husband David Burtka with him. The two of them, besides being adorable, have worked together before (Burtka played Lily’s high school boyfriend Scooter on How I Met Your Mother).
TV Line reports:
Harris will appear in Freak Show‘s 11th and 12th episodes as a chameleon salesman, while Burtka will turn up in the season finale (Episode 13) in what I’m told is a sexy storyline with Jessica Lange’s batty chanteuse.
NPH showed his dark, creepy side in Gone Girl, and he did a damn good job, so it’s safe to say that I’m really looking forward to this.
