It seems the way of things nowadays for Netflix to pick up new series based on interesting or popular concepts. Which is why their adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher novels comes as little surprise.

The series will seemingly be based heavily on the novels, considering Sapkowski has been brought on as a consultant. This would also make it the first time he’s profited for an adaptation of his work; he makes no money from the games.

Also tapped is Tomas Baginski, the director of the intro cinematics of all three games as well as CD Projek Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 teaser. He will direct at least one episode per season.

Sadly, no other hard information about the series has been released as yet.
