The new trailer for Death Stranding makes even less sense than the E3 one did

Hideo Kojima surprised the audience during The Game Awards with a new trailer, the first since E3 2016, for his first indpendent title Death Stranding.

The trailer, as expected, makes little sense because now that Kojima isn’t under control he has lost himself to madness. I’ve always been one that thinks an artists best work usually comes because of the limitations placed on them.

Anyways, the trailer features Guillermo Del Toro, who worked with Kojima on the sadly canceled game Silent Hills, and some sort of space baby thing. It also has Mads Mikkelsen, star of Hannibal, doing some really creepy shit as some sort of military officer.

Look, I’m excited for what Kojima can do with the the limits placed on him, but I just don’t know is the general public is ready for his overly heavy-handed approach to storytelling.

Fingers crossed that Death Stranding isn’t too weird for its own good.
