Nintendo Ends Support For Mario Kart Tour

Mario Kart Tour

Mama mia!

Yes, it’s true. One of the few remaining active mobile games made by Nintendo will be ending its content run. Mario Kart Tour will stop receiving new content this October 4th.

The news was shared to Xwitter by veteran dataminer OatmealDome. Shortly thereafter, Nintendo thanked the community, then confirmed that post October 4th, all content for Mario Kart Tour will be recycled until the end of time (or whenever end of service happens).

Don’t be too upset, though; the game will remain playable for the foreseeable future.

Nintendo still has a few other active mobile games. Notably, Pokémon Go, as well as Pokémon Masters EX. You also have Super Mario Run, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Pikmin Bloom and, naturally, Fire Emblem Heroes. There’s no telling which of these will be the next to reach end of support. That said, there may be more on the horizon, considering Nintendo plans to open up to more in the entertainment space.
