Do A Barrel Roll!
It seems that Nintendo had one more ace up their sleeve in regards to Star Fox 2. You know, other than finally releasing it.
Nintendo has published an interactive manual for the game online. And part of the joy is that it’s done in the style of the time… just with more animated flair. The game was the origin of a lot of what made Star Fox 64 so damn memorable as this manual will remind you: it was to be the original debut of Star Wolf, after all. There are even a few goodies to be found nestled in there.
But that’s not all! Nintendo also uploaded the design documents for the game in PDF form. Granted, they are in Japanese, but the illustrations are usually the most interesting parts of such documents. It’s kind of nice to see Star Fox 2 getting some love after all these years.
