Oculus Go gets Sling TV, ESPN and Fox

Activating a new headset by January 15th will nab you $80 in Sling credit.

Oculus has been trying to expand its entertainment options ever since it launched Oculus TV this summer. Personal viewing on a simulated 180-inch screen seems like a good idea if you can deal with a headset on your face for hours at a time.

The company is not expanding their offering in the digital space by adding Sling TV, Fox Now and ESPN. This gives users the chance to enjoy some pretty good option from live television to sports people yelling about analytics.

Each app is its own service which means you’ll probably need a subscription if you don’t already have one. Thankfully, if you get a new Oculus Go this Christmas you can use the $80 Sling TV credit that should give you about four months of live TV.

That’s not a bad way to go as Sling TV offers up a fair bit of televised content. Even better is that if you purchased an Oculus Go since September 1st you can still take advantage of the Sling TV credit.
