Owlboy is Getting a Retail Release

Birbchild.

Owlboy, the charming indie action-adventure game, did pretty well on release. So it’s really not much of a surprise that a publisher would come along to help it go multiplatform. SOEDESCO is doing just that:

I’m very excited to finally announce our collaboration, it’s something we’ve had in the works for a while now. Today, a year after Owlboy’s release on Steam, we’re happy to finally share this news with the community, and we’re hoping everyone is just as excited as we are to bring this fantastic game to retail.

– Bas de Jonge, SOEDESCO Marketing Manager

They have yet to announce which platforms Owlboy will be headed to. But it’s safe to say that certain platforms (Switch, PS4, etc) are pretty likely. Which means more players are going to get to experience the game, and that’s a good thing.
