Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee Already Running On PC Via Emulator

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!

Uh oh Pikachu.

Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee has been out for roughly a week. But it’s pretty close to running well on a PC emulator.

The video from YouTuber Unreal above shows the game running on the most recent build of Yuzu emulator, an emulator for the Nintendo Switch in development, on a fairly beefy PC. It’s not perfect; things speed up, slow down, there are a ton of sound glitches, text is unreadable, and so on. But, while that all may look bad, the game graphically looks fine otherwise. Which is a huge step forward in the emulation scene for the Switch, regardless of how you feel about it.

Legally speaking, emulators are a viable way of playing your software, provided you rip the ROM yourself. And, as time has shown, they often become the most viable way of running said software as older consoles start dying off and the aftermarket wears thin. So while it may not be the  most important news now for those staying on the legal side of things, the future is yet to be written.
