PS3 has had it’s Final Shipment

There is a life cycle to consoles. They’re new, stick around for a few years, and then they die. Usually, they last around 5-6 years. The PS3, however, has stayed in the game for a whopping 10.

The console’s final US shipment happened in October of last year. But in Japan, the console has finally been put to rest. It’s final shipment has either been distributed or warehoused.

So, let’s take a moment to remember all the good times we had (and by that I mean you; I couldn’t afford one when it was current) with the PS3. It did make it through Sony’s 10 year plan, after all.
