Relive the past with these Windows 3.1 programs and games

Windows 3.1

I’m sure only a very small portion of those that read GAMbIT will even know what Windows 3.1 is, let alone actually remember using it. Fun Fact: Windows 3.1 was a nightmare to get working even under the best circumstances. Now you can relive those wild west days of early mass computing thanks the The Internet Archive.

The website has archived a ton games and programs from the operating system so that you can experience life before DVDs, internet, streaming video, and operating systems that worked most of the time. I can still remember being a kids and poking around the magic that was a computer, learning my making mistakes and breaking things.

God only knows how we got anything to work before  the internet and YouTube, and how that airport in France is still using Windows 3.1 to control air traffic. Remind me to skip flying into that particular airport next time I head to France.

You can check out the site here: https://archive.org/details/softwarelibrary_win3_games

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to my game of JezzBall. If you want to have a bit of fun you can play some Wheel of Fortune below!
